Sheetsmith Privacy Policy

Sheetsmith ("the App") is provided by Alex Commerce Labs ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the App accesses, how we use it, and your choices. Contact: hello@alexcommercelabs.com.

Information we access

When you install the App, Shopify grants it access to the following store data, only to perform the imports and exports you start:

• Products and inventory: products, variants, options, images and media, metafields, inventory levels, locations and sales channel publications.
• Files: images referenced in your import files, and files at links you provide for import (for example Google Sheets, Google Drive or Dropbox links).
• Store details: shop domain, store email (used as the default address for job notifications), plan and development-store status.

The App does not access customer, order or payment data.

Information we store

• Job records: type, status, counts, timestamps, error messages, the file name and your export settings. Kept as job history while the App is installed.
• Files: uploaded import files, export files, automatic backups of products changed by an import, and error reports. Stored encrypted with our storage provider and deleted automatically after 7 days.
• Settings: notification email and saved export templates.
• Session data required by Shopify to authenticate the App.

We don't sell or rent your data and don't use it for advertising. We don't use AI/LLM services to process your data.

• Tigris Data (file storage, encrypted at rest)
• Neon (database, EU — Frankfurt)
• ImprovMX (notification emails: only the recipient address and job summary)

Data retention and deletion

Files are deleted after 7 days. When you uninstall the App, active jobs are cancelled. About 48 hours after uninstall Shopify sends us a deletion request, and we then delete all records and files for your store. You can request deletion earlier by emailing us.

Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data. Email hello@alexcommercelabs.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
